Latest reports have revealed that a multi agency military team has been deployed to Sindar area in Elgeyo Marakwet county to look for the items of the KDF soldiers that died last week after a helicopter they were flying in crashed. The team will be looking for the items to help in the investigations on what caused the crash and also as an honor to the families that lost their loved ones in the crash.
According to reports, locals were the first to arrive at the scene of the crash before the authorities arrived and they made away with the personal items of the deceased soldiers. They took their phones, watches, shoes among many other things. Police traces have shown mobile phones of the deceased soldiers being switched on and off in the village meaning some locals are hiding them.
The items will play a significant role in helping the detectives to make fast conclusions on how the plane crashed. It will however take sometime to recover all the items from the villagers since some will not be willing to give them out. What do you have to say about this revelation?
