Kenya Kwanza leaders are still reacting after Raila Odinga wrote to ICC prosecutor Karim Khan to monitor keenly the current situation in the country.

Azimio in their letter taken to the Hague-based court on Friday accuses Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome of using police to maim Azimio supporters during anti-President Ruto protests that took place last month.

In the latter, the opposition alliance also accused the police boss of assigning special squad of police officers to assassinate Odinga during the bi-weekly demonstrations.

Musalia Mudavadi while speaking in Mombasa on Sunday, where he attended an Iftar dinner organized by the Coast Muslim community warned Odinga against inviting the International Criminals Court in the country.

The Prime Cabinet claims that inviting ICC amid resumption of planned protests will provoke Kenyans that might eventually lead to chaos and disruption of normalcy in the country.

“I want to tell Azimio, please do not try and wish a revisitation of ICC on Kenya. You are provoking Kenyans, trying to instigate chaos and trying to create a spark that will lead to disruptions of normalcy.” Stated Mudavadi.

Mudavadi warned that the direction taken by Raila Odinga may return the country to the dark days where Kenyans killed each other mercilessly.

Mudavadi urged Raila-led Azimio team to maintain peace, saying that leaders in Kenya Kwanza government are doing every possible this to ensure that the country does not degenerate into chaos.

“People were killing each other mercilessly and the chaotic nature of events is what triggered the ICC to intervene since things had gotten out of hand,” he said.

“This shrewd move and ill-motive by Azimio to try and say they are looking for talks like the Koffi Annan Serena talks is an exercise in futility. The circumstances prevailing in Kenya today are nowhere near the circumstances we were facing in 2007-08.” He added
