the speaker of the national assembly in the republic of Kenya Hon Moses Wetangula has come out to announce that the members of parliament will be voting for the 2024/2025 finance bill for the second time.

As seen from the video shared by NTV, Wetangula on his address in parliament revealed that his office received president William Ruto’s memoranda rejecting all the clauses of the finance bill some three weeks ago. Due to this memoranda, Wetangula announced that members of parliament will vote to either support or overturn president William Ruto’s decision on the finance bill.

According to Wetangula, for president William Ruto’s memoranda to be overturned, more than two thirds of the MPs will have to vote against it. This announcement from Wetangula is coming in just some few hours before the members of parliament comes back from their three weeks break. Senate resumed their sittings around two weeks ago.
