Residents of Kuresoi North in Nakuru County are still finding it hard to come to terms with an incident whereby a 20-year-old man was stabbed six times and succumbed to the injuries he sustained.
The deceased was killed on Sunday night after he revealed the suspect who stole his friend’s money. Following the incident, officers from the Keringet police station were called to the scene and arrested the suspect while he was trying to escape the scene of crime.
According to Marcella Sang, the mother of the deceased man, she was woken up by the sad news at around 10 pm that his son and the suspect had fought at the market centre. While in her house, she heard loud screams of people. When she arrived at the scene, she found her son bleeding profusely.
Efforts to rush him to the hospital were futile since he died before arriving at the hospital. Confirming the incident is Samuel Bor, the area chief who said that such incidents are common in the area and are contributed by illicit brew.
The police have since launched investigations into the incident as the body of the deceased was taken to the morgue.
