Brenda Kawira Gitonga’s mother, Mrs. Catherine Gakii, has spoken out about how she has ceased seeing her daughter and her lover, Mr. John Gakure Kiretai, popularly known as DJ Dela, after Brenda’s untimely death.
Brenda cried as she watched her mother struggle to climb the stairs on her previous visit because of her leg problems.
Fearing for her daughter’s safety, the distraught mother made the difficult decision to stop visiting her.
Ms. Gakii was greeted warmly by Brenda and her boyfriend during her visit, and the pair assured her that they were much in love and preparing to get married.
She raved about how well they got along and how they cooked and served her meals together.
Brenda’s parents want answers about their daughter’s death and have made it clear they don’t believe the suicide story.
Brenda’s mother disagrees with the suicide theory put forth by the police, saying her daughter was happy and never confided in her.
The report states that Brenda became enraged after her partner was confronted about the state of their relationship, prompting her to leap from the fourth floor of Hawk Flats in Ngumba Estate.
