Did you know that gospel star, Moji Short Babaa drove wife, Nyawira to meet her potential husband during dates! Well, Nyawira and Moji were ‘besties’ from way back in church and Moji saw no offense in dropping her off to see her man.
When Nyawira was dumped her bond with Moji grew tighter and they began dating and later married.
“So Moji and I had been friends for a long time, we’ve been friends forever and a day but because of church we were serving a lot together, like after bible studies he would drop me home in fact, when I was dating now my heartbreaker Moji even used to drop me at dates…he was my brother in Christ, my brother in christ became my husband” Explained Nyawira.
Nyawira explained that she found peace in Moji who also happened to have the same values she was looking for. Moji came with some internal peace and affirmation that struck her while enjoying each others company.
To date, Moji is her biggest cheerleader and source of inspiration by ensuring Nyawira excels in whatever she lays her hands on.
However, Nyawira also spoke highly of her ex-boyfriend noting that he was a great man but not meant for her.
Undergone Rejection, Grief
Nyawira who’s a creative and an event host further revealed how for the longest time she faced rejection. It was hard getting gigs and being turned down was her second name.
However, it gave her life lessons to understand that things work out in God’s timing.
Nyawira further shared her gratitude to singer, Kambua who held her hand during her first ever gig. She had knocked on several doors without success.
When it comes to grief, Nyawira knows how it feels as she lost her mother when she was in high school. With this, she truly understands grieving and what it entails in loosing a loved one.
