A 21-year-old male student at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) was found dead in his house under mysterious circumstances.
Erick Siko Mamboleo was discovered by his landlord who became suspicious about his disappearance.
The landlord at the apartment said he became suspicious after he failed to see the student for the past three days, prompting him to call the police to check on the student.
Police officers visited the scene, where they found the door closed from inside. Police and neighbours decided to break the door only to discover the lifeless body lying on the bed. The landlord also reported to the student leaders who arrived at the scene immediately.
The deceased’s body had no physical injuries, but foam was oozing from his mouth. The was taken to the mortuary awaiting an autopsy to establish the actual cause of death.
Police said Investigations are underway and a postmortem report will ascertain what caused the death of the student.
The student leaders urged everyone not to speculate for the possible cause of the demise as the investigators are on course.
