Cabinet secretary for mining under president Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government Align Hassan Joho, has now revealed on his ambitions for higher political seat ahead of 2027. The mining cabinet secretary and former Mombasa county governor was appointed by president Ruto to serve in his government following a major cabinet shake up after the GenZ led demonstrations.

Joho has since then served diligently in the office including trying to end illegal mining at the coast of. However, some of Joho’s decisions have received criticism others hinting that the steps he undertook could undermine the mining sector in the country.

Having been in opposition for years in ODM the cabinet secretary brought to end his reign as the Mombasa county governor handing in leadership tools to Mohammed Abdul Nasir.

Uncertainty from Kenyans on why ODM members joined the Kenya Kwanza government has been a concern despite Ruto defending himself asserting that he wanted to unite Kenya and drive it to a better economy.

However, the cabinet secretary has released a statement asserting that, ” Even us our parents gave birth to us with the ability to be one presidents of this nation. Plans for tomorrow’s journey are laid down today.” Joho’s remarks come amid heated debate on who could stand to drive Kenya to a stable economy.

With this statements one would remark that Joho’s plan to accept to be nominated by president Ruto and to serve in his government could be part of his plans inorder to gain practical experiences of presidential leadership and concerns.

Though Joho serving as a public officer in Ruto’s government has not openly revealed the big plans for 2027, his statements indicate a possible outcome and a way to comeback to top political seat.
