Former Nominated Senator and CAS Millicent Omanga has broken her silence after speculations of being appointed to President William Ruto’s cabinet emerged.
This was after unverified claims emerged, alleging her nomination into cabinet. In the alleged list doing rounds on social media spaces, Omanga has been named as the most probable appointee into cabinet.
The list claims that Omanga has been fronted as the minister of Labour and Social protection. The list went viral online, with Kenyans coming out to speculate. Taking to her X space, the seemingly jovial Omanga said she had been trending, indicating that she will not mind if nominated into the cabinet.
She asked for opinions from Kenyans, saying it was not bad idea and could ‘anguka nayo’ if nominated.
“I’ve been trending out there. From your mouth to God’s ears. Mnaonaje? Nikipewa nianguke nayo ama?” she posed
Despite this, the authenticity of the list still remains unclear and unofficial. Among those who have been named in the alleged list are Former police boss Eric Kirathe for Interior docket, Dania Mukami for Public Service and Gender, Aden Duale for Defence, David Osiany for Trade, Aaron Cheruiyot for Agriculture and Belio Kipsang for Education among others
President Ruto is however, expected to name his cabinet in the coming days after reports emerged that he had given Azimio a list o 7 CSs.
