Mike Sonko has addressed the viral video showing him partying with Karen Nyamu at the Kamba Night event. The footage, recorded on September 14 at the Carnivore in Nairobi, shows Sonko and Nyamu dancing energetically among the crowd.
In the video, Nyamu is seen dancing on a chair while Sonko stands beside her, enjoying the moment. Some viewers alleged that Sonko inappropriately touched Nyamu, leading to widespread discussion on social media. Sonko, however, responded to these claims by questioning whether it is wrong for a man to admire a woman. He posted on X, asking, “Hembu niwaurise kwani kukura na maso iko sinda ngani?” which translates to “Is it wrong to admire a woman?”
Adding to the speculation, a netizen questioned Sonko about his relationship with Samidoh, Nyamu’s partner, to which Sonko replied that Samidoh is his good friend. Meanwhile, Karen Nyamu, who had stopped posting about Samidoh on social media, recently shared a video flaunting a new car. When asked by a fan if she had split from Samidoh, Nyamu humorously confirmed that they were no longer together.
