The officers from the DCI unit shocked many after they stormed and arrest a patient awaiting surgery from one of the largest hospitals in the nation. As the family members looked on, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers reportedly forcefully bundled the patient into their car, with a bullet still logged into his body. This incident has provoked responses from Kenyans nationwide.
According to report, the patient had been admitted at Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital awaiting treatment. The victim, Sammy Kirato, a middle-aged man, was reportedly waiting for surgery services at the hospital before he was taken into custody. According to the reliable reports, the patient was allegedly shot by a police officer following an intense gunfight a few days earlier.
However, the reason behind the arrest of the patient has not yet been revealed to the media. The concerned family members are still following up to determine where their patient was taken and inquire if he will get any medical services.
