Nyandarua Senator Kaba Methu has come out and reacted after being stripped of the Chairmanship of the Senate Standing Committee on Lands, Environment and Natural Resources and as a member of the County Public Accounts Committee.

Methu began by thanking President Ruto and UDA Party for giving him the opportunity to serve in that capacity for the past two years.

“I thank William Samoei Ruto and his UDA party for giving me an opportunity to serve as the Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Lands, Environment and Natural Resources and also as a member of the County Public Accounts Committee for the last two and a half years. It was such an honor to serve in the house leadership at that capacity.” Senator Methu Reacted

In his message, Kaba Methu hints that the stripping is a a consequence of his political choice considering that he has been a close ally of Rigathi Gachagua and has been at the forefront criticizing Ruto since he (Ruto) fell out with Gachagua.

“The political choice I have consciously made, contributes to the stripping, but I bow out with absolutely no regrets.” Methu said

Reports indicate that Gachagua allies including Senators Joe Nyutu of Murang’a @and Kiambu’s Karungo Wa Thang’wa have been thrown out of lucrative senate committees.
