Meg Whitman who is now the former US ambassador to Kenya has issued her last remarks before she flies out of the country. In a post on her X page Meg said that she is very grateful for the good friends she made in the country during her stay and will always remember them.
She said that in her two years as an ambassador she has toured close to 28 counties in Kenya and during her visits she met wonderful people working hard to make Kenya great. She then bid Kenyans farewell.
“To all friends I have made in Kenya and at @USEmbassyKenya, I say asante sana as I end my tour of duty. Kwaherini Wakenya!” Meg tweeted.
For the last two weeks she has been traveling across the country to meeting with some of the leaders she has worked with during her two years service. Whitman resigned about two weeks ago when Donald Trump won the elections.
There were speculations that her resignation was as a result of the criticism she received from Kenyans but she dismissed all these and said she only wanted to return to America and plan her future as the new Trump administration plans to take over.
