Njoroge Wa Githinji began his media career in K24 TV where he started off as an intern. He worked hard and soon enough he was promoted to become a news anchor at the station.

However he didn’ t work for long in the station. He recalled being handed a pink envelope in 2013 and he immediately knew his tenature in the station had come to an end.

” It’ s good to clear the air. I was fired. I remember that day very well. I knew from my connections that I was among the people who were going home. I was so confused that day. ” He stated.

Getting fired from K24 TV was a nightmare to him. His wife at the time was four months pregnant and didn’ t have a job. His work was the only source of income. He felt devastated and even started questioning the worth if his life.

Njogu Wa Githinji’ s wife encouraged him and he decided to go back to school. He enrolled in a journalism degree at the Kenya Methodist University. He then took a job at quarry to provide for his family.
