Anna Nyokabi Muthama Kenyatta, born on August 22, 1963, in Nairobi, Kenya, is a prominent businesswoman and philanthropist.

As the daughter of Kenya’s first President, Jomo Kenyatta, and the younger sister of former President Uhuru Kenyatta, Nyokabi holds a significant role within the Kenyatta family.

Nyokabi pursued her higher education at Northwestern University before becoming deeply involved in business and charitable ventures. She co-founded and serves as a director at the Kenyatta Trust, an organization focused on providing scholarships to students across Kenya. The Trust not only offers financial aid but also mentorship, guiding students in academics, social and economic skills, and personal development.

Known for her active role in philanthropy, Nyokabi frequently works alongside First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and former First Daughter Ngina Kenyatta. She is particularly involved in the Beyond Zero Campaign, a health initiative focused on improving maternal and child healthcare across the nation.

Nyokabi’s name also surfaced in the Pandora Papers, a report released by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). The report alleges that Nyokabi, along with other Kenyatta family members including her brother, Uhuru Kenyatta has hidden wealth in offshore accounts, including tax havens such as Panama, with assets reportedly exceeding $30 million.

Beyond her philanthropic efforts, Nyokabi owns and operates Manda Orchids, the largest flower farm in East and Central Africa. The farm specializes in cultivating cymbidium orchids and is located in Kiambu County near Mount Kenya. Renowned for producing exceptional orchids, Manda Orchids supplies flowers for high-end events such as weddings and parties. Due to the delicate nature of the flowers and their vulnerability to diseases, the farm employs meticulous cultivation practices to ensure quality blooms, particularly from June to December.

Visitors to Manda Orchids are required to book appointments to view the stunning rows of potted orchids, as the farm is not open to the general public. In 2017, Manda Orchids earned special recognition by winning “Best Display of Cut Flowers” at the 119th Flower and Plant Show organized by the Kenya Horticultural Society. The farm is well known for creating unforgettable experiences through its premium orchid arrangements.
