Veteran Coast musician Nyota Ndogo whose real name is Mwanaisha Abdalla yesterday amazed her fans after she shared a video of her and her current looks. The 42-year-old musician who rose to fame in her early twenties had indeed undergone a vivid transformation as far as her appearance is concerned, something which she attributed to her advanced age.
As a matter of fact, the “Watu na Viatu” hit maker questioned why humans had to age and loose their initial beauty.
“Lakini mimi najiuliza tu mbona umri usiende tu bila mwili kunyauka, yaani tusizeeke mwili but wazee kiumri tu.” She wrote.
While some fans argued that the musician had used an editing filter to doctor the ‘old look,’ Nyoto Ndogo affirmed that it is her real appearance only that she has often used make up and many people never realize she is aging. Alongside her hit song Watu na Viatu, Nyota Ndogo also made waves with her other songs Mombasa Raha and Mama Wakambo. Despite the fact that she hung her boots in music, Nyota inarguably left an indelible mark in the Kenyan taarab music industry.
