The political climate in the country is becoming increasingly heated as an increasing number of politicians are anticipated to participate as candidates in the 2027 elections. This is causing significant concern, particularly among politicians who have been in power for an extended period. Most Kenyans have expressed their gratification with Fred Matiangi, one of the political leaders who may appear on the ballot in the 2027 elections, as he served as the CS education during Uhuru’s tenure.
Cornelius Ronoh shared a clip on his official Twitter page in which Matiangi stated that he has received numerous inquiries regarding his decision not to run for the presidency during the 2022 elections and whether he will contemplate doing so in 2027. Additionally, he acknowledged that it is a privilege to be summoned to serve one’s own country in any capacity, including as a security officer.
He declared that he would not decline or neglect to serve his country when summoned.
