Chief Justice Martha Koome has left Kenyans talking after details emerged on what she plans to do with prostitution in the country. According to reports from trusted sources, the CJ has proposed a bill that will decriminalize prostitution in the country making it legal. This means that any Kenyan that engages in the act which most people consider as indecent will not be penalized. This will however be effected if the Penal Code Amendment Bill is passed into law.
“CJ Koome proposes bill to decriminalize prostitution. Kenyans who engage in prostitution will no longer be penalized if the Penal Code Amendment Bill 2023 is passed into law,” Kenyans.co reported on Tuesday.
This revelation has left Kenyans cursing the Chief Justice for encouraging indecency in the country. Her proposition comes a few months after he legalized homosexuality in the country. Kenyans have said it is time she retires as she has shamed the country.
