Azimio La Umoja Deputy Presidential candidate in last year’s general elections Martha Karua has accused the Kenya Kwanza regime of trying to undermine the Mt. Kenya region through destabilization of Jubilee party.
Martha was speaking during Azimio La Umoja’s leaders meeting on June 5 in Nairobi. The outspoken lawyer was adamant that Kenya Kwanza led by William Ruto is hellbent on ensuring that there are no serious parties left in Mt Kenya to challenge them.
”It is apparent that the destabilization of Jubilee party and the destruction of prominent leaders from the region is sponsored by the high levels of Kenya Kwanza regime.”
”This is solely to undermine the region and ensure that there are no political parties to challenge anti Mt Kenya policies that seem to be the driving force behind the Kenya Kwanza decision making,” she said.
Martha Karua who hails from Mt. Kenya defied the popular decision from majority of the region’s leaders to team up with Raila Odinga in the 2022 Presidential elections. She however failed to deliver a win from the vote rick region that leaned heavily on the current Head Of State William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
She called the undermining of Mt Kenya leaders who oppose the government as a do or die agenda from the Kenya Kwanza leadership.
