Police were today engaged in running battles with residents of kiamaiko area who barricaded the Outering road ,rendering it impassible while protesting the killing of a man in the area who was allegedly Killed by police.
In a report that has been shared by a reliable source of information, it has been reported that the day-long pandemonium began after a mission to recover an alleged stolen motorbike turned tragic.
Police say residents in the area resisted the operation and began pelting the them with stones forcing the officers to open fire.
In the process a man was fatally shot, The chaos spilled over to Outering Road, Juja Road and adjacent roads where the protesters blocked several routes, forcing the police to redirect traffic heading into the zone.
Some youths took advantage of the chaos and stole from motorists who found themselves in the fracas.
This is happening at the same time when the former prime minister of Kenya who is also the Presidential candidate of the AZIMIO la Umoja Coalition, Honorable Raila Odinga has called off planned anti-government Demonstrations in the country which was set to happen on Wednesday
