Tanzanian music heavyweights, Ali Kiba and Diamond Platnumz, are at it again in their longstanding rivalry, but this time, the banter is filled with humor.

The tension between the two stars resurfaced after a video of Diamond discussing his attendance at a party hosted by American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs went viral.

Diamond’s recount of the event, especially his cryptic comments about activities that he couldn’t disclose, quickly grabbed attention.

In the video, Diamond mentions attending the party during a trip to the United States for the BET Awards.

He explained that Diddy had followed him on Instagram and expressed admiration for Tanzanian music.

The two eventually met at the exclusive gathering, where, according to Diamond, things happened that couldn’t be shared with the public.

He cryptically added that cameras were not allowed, heightening the mystery around the event.

Ali Kiba, who has long been seen as Diamond’s arch-nemesis in the East African music scene, couldn’t resist the opportunity to poke fun at his rival.

When asked by an interviewer if he had ever met Diddy, Kiba responded with a cheeky remark: “Mambo ya mafuta sijui,” which translates to “Things to do with oils, I don’t know.” The comment, while lighthearted, was a jab at Diamond’s story and a clever reference to Diddy’s ongoing legal troubles.

In recent months, Diddy has been entangled in a series of lawsuits involving sexual assault and abuse allegations. As part of these investigations, authorities reportedly seized over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant from his homes in Miami and Los Angeles.

Kiba’s remark seemed to draw a parallel between Diamond’s mysterious party experience and the accusations surrounding the American rapper.

Diddy has been accused of sexual misconduct by several former employees, with one unnamed individual filing a federal lawsuit claiming repeated incidents of unsolicited groping and sexual touching.

The lawsuit also alleges that Diddy pressured the employee to engage in sexual acts with prostitutes. I

n one disturbing incident, the victim claimed to have woken up in bed with two sex workers and suspected he had been drugged.

Ali Kiba’s humorous jab comes in the wake of these revelations and adds yet another layer to the ongoing rivalry between the two Tanzanian superstars.

Their competitive relationship has often spilled over into social media, interviews, and even their music, with fans on both sides keenly observing each interaction.
