Malava Member of Parliament Malulu Injendi has been ejected at a burial ceremony in Musingu village of Chimuche ward in his constituency over his stance on the controversial finance bill after he voted yes.

Injendi who could not get a minute to address mourners was forced to flee after he found himself in unfamiliar grounds.

This comes barely a day after a commotion between his team and bodaboda operators who have vowed not to allow the MP to address any gathering in the constituency terming him a betrayer.

Angry mourners attending the burial of Constance Burudi, one of the MPs relatives, upon seeing the legislator arrive at the funeral started jeering and booing him for his stand to vote yes towards the finance bill that has sparked uproar through out the country

Upon his time to address the mourners, the MP found it hard to explain to the charged crowd why he voted yes to a bill that they allege is meant to weigh down the common mwananchi and his bid to calm the crowd to give him ample time to pay his last respects was intercepted with rants and jeers from the crowd prompting his handlers to try to rough up one of the people telling off the Mp.

His efforts to explain as to why he voted yes for the unpopular bill was rejected as the crowd termed him a traitor and that he had signed his own exit letter as the next Malava MP.

The Mp had to leave in ahuff after it became evident that he was unwelcomed at the funeral as a section of the crowd chanted anti finance bill slogans.

The upcoming Malava constituency aspirant Edgar Busiega who was among the bereaved said he was mature enough to take the leadership mantle from Malulu and added that he was ready to face off when the right time comes

“I’m mature enough and when you voters, decide it’s me I will stand and rise to the occasion, already I’m hearing murmurs of Malulu Tawe and as Malava voters, we are keenly assessing the situation and when the right time comes we will declare our stand,” he said.

Recently the ground has been hostile to the third time legislator who has declared interest to defend his position for the fourth time but this time, it seems like the gods are not on his side.
