UDA Party Secretary General Cleophas Malala has revealed that Azimio la Umoja Party Leader Raila Odinga’s Kisumu backyard is soon going to be painted yellow.
Speaking on Friday a day after the UDA party opened its online registration portal, Malala said they had registered a whopping 5,325 members from Kisumu county

He said more are expected to register as members of te ruling party in the coming days, adding that soon, the whole of Kisumu and Nyanza region will be painted yellow. He added that he will soon be heading to Kisumu city to open a UDA party office in the region.

UDA has embarked on a recruitment drive to grow its membership across the country and prepare for the 2027 general polls.
Already, a new UDA office has been secured in Kisumu and it will be the first time to open its doors in the region when Malala tours the city.
President William Ruto’s UDA party already has a total of 8.9 million members and has vowed to apply every strategy at its disposal to ensure it is a force to reckon with in preparation for the 2027 election.

Already, Malala has hinted at a plan to have all parties under the Kenya Kwanza Alliance fold and join UDA to form one party ahead of 2027 just the same way the Jubilee party did in 2017.
Malala said UDA recruitment will begin in Western Kenya this weekend before spreading to other parts of the country. He added that they are targeting 20,000 members in Kisumu county alone.
