Rex Kanyike Maasai was one of the first victims of the cops murder during the anti-government protests that kicked off in June.
According to news reports, Rex Maasai was shot on the thigh and bleed to death as cops watched and refused to help him.
Speaking to the media , Rex’s mum, Gillian said that she now thinks her son’s death might go unpunished after witnesses started pulling out due to intimidation.
Gillian revealed that at the time she saw her son’s body for th first time, the bullet was still there and she even touched it after the pathologist showed her.
However, she noticed during the postmortem that the bullet in Rex body had been removed and she couldn’t locate it or who had removed it.
This Worrying development comes barely hours after the ODPP returned Rex’s file and two others involving police brutality owing to lack of sufficient evidence.
After Rex’s death, over 60 people have reportedly died during anti-government protests with a huge number having been shot in cold blood by rogue cops.
