Interior cabinet secretary Kithuri Kindiki might have just suffered a setback as debate on deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s replacement heats up.
As reported, Kindiki doesn’t have much political clout in the mountain side and it’s a worry to Mt Kenya MPs who are debating on the next DP.
On the other side, Prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi has won the trust of majority of cabinet Secretaries and therefore viewed as a perfect individual to replace Mr Gachagua.
” Gachagua started his revolt early, and no politician from.the region can win back Mt Kenya. We are better off securing a deal with Western and coastal regions “, a Rift valley MP said.
On the other side, former vice-president Kalonzo Musyoka is seeking to defend DP Gachagua by slamming MPs who voted to impeach him.
Kalonzo feels that president William Ruto should be ousted together with DP Gachagua. Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua as well shares the same stance maintaining the problem is president William Ruto and not DP Gachagua.
