Veteran journalist Fred Obach machoka on Saturday couldn’t help but break down into tears of joy as birthday wishes kept on flowing live on TV.

The man Behind Roga Roga program that is normally aired on Saturday afternoon where rhumba music colonizes the airwaves, was dressed in an official dark suit and a matching tie, when journalists led by Linus kaikai took turns to give their tributes to the legendary scribe.

According to Kalai who is director of strategy and innovation at citizen TV, machoka has mentored many a journalist with his inspiration going beyond the media and music industry.

Linus kakai wished machoka great days ahead now that he is entering another decade as a Media personality.

The many tributes could not go unrecognized as the man who turned 70 on Saturday September 9, fought back tears of joy, occasionally removing his dark glasses to wipe away the drops rolling down his cheeks.

His daughter Linda machoka couldn’t be left out as she hailed her father for being a great dad and a hero who is now an inspiration to her children.

She wished her dad many years hoping to see him celebrate his 100th birthday and even 120th.

The emotional Machoka was grateful to the media fraternity for the accolades and well wishes.

It was now time for machoka to join the boys in dancing to his favorite rhumba music at the dance floor.

As it can be seen from the photos above, even at 70, the man is still strong and agile, who can’t disappoint when it comes to such times.
