Lupita Nyong’o spoke about what ‘Black Panther 2’ will look like without what she called ‘Our King’ Chadwick Boseman.
During her appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday, Nyong’o admitted that it’s going to be different without “our King” in the Marvel universe.
“It’s gonna be different, of course, without our King to go back into that world, but I know that all of us are dedicated to re-imagining or carrying on his legacy in this new Black Panther, and [director] Ryan Coogler has some really, really exciting ideas that I look forward to bringing to life with the rest of the family,” the 355 actress revealed.
Boseman’s sudden passing in August 2020 left fans reeling, and speculation regarding Black Panther 2 has flooded the minds of movie goers, It was said that Chadwck Boseman will not be recreated with CGI, nor will he be recast.
Before the untimely passing of Boseman, the sequel was set for release on May 6, 2022.
The first Black Panther, released in 2018, told the story of new king T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) in the aftermath of his father’s death as he grapples with the secrets left behind and how to best lead his country.
