Today in the evening, reports have emerged that members of parliament from the Luo community held a meeting called Duol yesterday in the evening on a venue that is yet to be disclosed.
As reported by the Nation Africa, Luo MPs during this meeting ruled that it is too early for Luo leaders to start talking on who should succeed Raila Odinga in the region. It was during this meeting where the legislators gave a greenlight to Raila Odinga to engage Kalonzo Musyoka and other Azimio coalition members on matters to do with 2027 general elections.
However, they maintained that this engagement should come at a right time. This meeting by the Luo lawmakers is coming in at a time when each political camp is planning for 2027 elections. Some few days ago, Odinga had endorsed Mr Kalonzo for 2027 but he withdrew his endorsement later on claiming that he had only applauded Kalonzo for a good work he has been doing.
