Celebrated Kenyan media personality Linda Oguttu has once again been forced to defend herself from attacks by netizens, who claim that she now works in the construction industry famously known as ‘mjengo’.
Taking to her Twitter account in a morning post the voluptuous ex-KTN News anchor rubbished these claims, and further disclosed that even if it were true, it should not be a big problem.
According to Linda Oguttu, doing casual jobs is not even a big thing for her because in her early life, before she landed in the media industry, she used to do one too.
Unbeknownst to many she actually used to be a hawker in Nairobi, and therefore hustling here and there is not a big thing to her.
Linda Oguttu also disclosed that in her first job, she used to earn just Kshs 4,000 and she was living in Gachie at the time.
Therefore netizens should desist from trolling her endlessly over the ‘mjengo’ allegations, because it should not be a big thing for her as long as at the end of the day one gets the money to cater for his/her needs.
“People, stop sending me this story. I have hawked things in this town. 1st salary was 4k, living in Gachie.
Najua kuhustle. Assume I work in a mjengo, shida iko wapi? As long as we put food on the table.
Best part is eating fresh food from kibandasky. Mjengo pia ni kazi tusitishwe!” Linda Oguttu wrote.
Her post however comes just days after she again addressed the speculations of working at a ‘mjengo’, because netizens were thinking that life had become hard for her.
This is especially after she missed out on government appointments after finishing her task at the Ministry of Sports.
The claims infact emerged because of a photo that was making rounds online, of Linda Oguttu wearing construction regalia.
She infact had a yellow helmet and an orange reflector jacket as she posed for that photo.
According to her however the photo was taken when she was in Mwache Dam earlier this year.
This was just few days before the president went there for the ground breaking. Therefore she was consulting on the project.
