Lilian Nganga, the wife of veteran musician Juliani, recently opened up about a violent relationship she endured in the past. Her revelation was triggered by a visit to the doctor, where she was questioned about possible domestic abuse after seeking treatment for a swollen eye.

In a candid TikTok video, Nganga clarified that she is not experiencing domestic violence in her marriage to Juliani, despite ongoing rumors about their relationship. She explained that the doctor’s concern reminded her of a time when she was trapped in a toxic and physically abusive relationship.

Recalling a disturbing incident, Nganga shared how her then boyfriend hit her in a club simply because another man looked at her. Shocked and enraged, she retaliated by hitting him back, causing him to nosebleed. Despite this, she stayed in the relationship, convinced she couldn’t live without him. “The love was so hot. You think he’s the love of your life, and you can’t leave,” she admitted.

The former Machakos First Lady recounted how the abuse was so severe that she occasionally had to call in sick from work. On one occasion, a doctor saw her injuries and immediately suspected abuse, but she lied, saying she had fallen down the stairs. “The doctor looked at me and said, ‘You’re lying. Someone hit you,'” she revealed. Looking back, she acknowledged that staying in such a relationship was “madness.”

Now older and wiser, Nganga stated that she would never tolerate a man laying hands on her again. She advised victims of abusive relationships to leave when they find the strength and clarity to do so, recognizing that no one deserves to endure violence in the name of love.
