Former Machakos First Lady Lilian Nganga has openly shared the profound impact the tragic loss of her driver, Philip, had on her life and decisions.

Philip passed away in a road accident in 2017, shortly after dropping her off. This incident, coupled with the prior loss of her bodyguards in a separate accident, deeply affected Nganga and influenced her decision to end her relationship with CS Alfred Mutua.

In a recent tribute on Instagram, Nganga reflected on Philip’s role in her life and the emotional void his death left.

She emphasised the lack of mourning for those who serve in security roles, noting how this disregard for their lives contributed to her sense of disappointment.

Nganga recalled how life seemed to move on without acknowledging their sacrifices, a realisation that profoundly influenced her separation from Mutua.

Nganga described Philip as exceptional, appreciating his dedication and the positive impact he had on her life.

She expressed that his memory remains vivid, and she continues to compare subsequent drivers to him, underscoring his irreplaceable role.

Despite recent rumours about her relationship with her husband, rapper Juliani, suggesting they might have separated, both have addressed these claims.

Nganga previously posted about her enjoyment of solitude, while Juliani shared a video featuring their son, dispelling the speculation about their marriage.
