Trevor Ombija has celebrated his 39th birthday, reflecting on a challenging year.
In an Instagram post, the TV personality expressed his resilience and growth: “Life has been rough lately, but guess who made it to another year? Here’s to another trip around the sun. Older, bolder, and probably more caffeine-dependent.”
The Ramogi TV news anchor, who is a father of one, shared the news of his child with the public in June 2023. He fondly recounted a memorable #FathersDay moment:
“I think Trevor Jr. was trying to tell me something on #FathersDay, but I don’t speak ‘Baby’ too well, so he resorted to hand signals. There’s no kind of love like a parent’s love, this I can say without fear of contradiction.”
In a past interview with Ankali Ray, Ombija revealed that his partner prefers to stay out of the limelight: “My partner is not a public figure and doesn’t like social media. You may have wondered why I haven’t posted about her—she doesn’t even have a social media presence. Even when I posted my son’s hand, she was upset.”
Ombija also mentioned his focus on raising his son: “I’m not looking for anything else right now; my job is to raise my child to be a well-mannered, respectful young man. I’m still learning as a first-time parent. It’s all about prayer and patience.”
Reflecting on his future family plans, he added: “Let me tell you, I’m not planning on having more children. One child is enough for me. Once I’ve scored my goal with Trevor Ombija Jr., that’s it,” he said.
