According to a statement received by TUKO.co.ke, 63% of Nairobi County poll respondents said they will support Sakaja in general election.
Sakaja’s leadership has been plagued by a number of issues, including allegations that he funded individuals to disrupt nonviolent protests. During a period of high rains, his management came under fire, inflicting significant damage and fatalities.
In addition to Nairobi County, the study discovered that the following counties had a higher likelihood of losing their governors through popular vote: Laikipia, Nyamira, Garissa, Baringo, Nandi, Lamu, Meru, Kakamega, Kajiado, Bomet, and Isiolo.
Samburu, Kilifi, Uasin Gishu, Bungoma, Nyandarua, Nakuru, Vihiga, Kericho, Tana River, and West Pokot are among the counties whose governors will be replaced.
“If an election was to be held today, governors in 22 counties would likely be defeated, Laikipia governor Joshua Irungu, Nyamira governor Amos Nyaribo, Garissa governor Nathif Jama and Baringo county governor Benjamin Cheboi, “the statement claimed in part.
