Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has threatened to start fighting Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga if he continues fighting President William Ruto.
Kuria has made the warning while admitting that as cabinet secretaries, they should not be seen engaging in political matters.
But he says that Raila is getting out of hand, with regards to the pressure he is heaping on Ruto, and he will soon be forced to come to Ruto’s aid.
He has threatened to put back on his political boots and go after the former Prime Minister if a time reaches and he feels his intervention is needed.
“We [Cabinet Secretaries] are not allowed to engage in politics but if it reaches a point where we are needed, I will put aside my ‘salvation’ and face take them head-on,” he is quoted by The Star.
He made the remarks in Mang’u within Gatundu North on Friday, while also accusing Raila of being after something hence the fight with Ruto.
He opined that Raila is eyeing a portion of Ruto’s government through a coalition government, which he said will never happen under their watch.
“The government is not a sweet potato to be split and shared. We will not allow them to get half of the government positions because that is what they are seeking,” added the ex-Gatundu South MP.
