KTN news anchor Ali Manzu was on Monday, December 23, appointed to serve as chairperson of the Mombasa County Creative Economy task force.

The newly formed 9-member task force is in line with Governor Abdulswamad Sherrif Nassir’s plan to align with his Mwanzo Mpya manifesto.

“The County Government of Mombasa, under the Mwanzo Mpya Manifesto, is committed to nurturing and developing the creative economy by facilitating innovation, talent, research, production, distribution, and exploitation of intellectual property, including audiovisual arts, performing arts, visual arts, design, and literary,” the Governor stated in his appointment notice.

The nine will be tasked with providing advice and recommendations to the creative economy of the Mombasa County Government.

The other eight include; Caroline Ngorobi as Vice-Chair, Awadh Salim, Hellen Mwanzia, Kessi Juma, Michel Jerry, Daudi Anguka, Margaret Matunda as members and Esther Ingolo as secretary.

They will serve for six months and their tenure commenced on December 20 according to the notice.
