Although most Kenyans all over the country have been complaining about exaggerated both pre-pay and post-pay from the Kenya Power and Lighting Company, the company have moved in speed to solve the menace.

Speaking to a local media station, the managing director disclosed that pre-pay meters will be scrapt immediately. “We shall do away with the traditional meters which are sometimes inaccurate.” He said. “This will on return reduce the cost of production by the company because we shall no longer need officials to move up and down reading meter.” He added

Encoring his sentiment, energy cabinet secretary disclosed that the government is planning to have all homestead connected to power by 2027.

This have raised mixed reactions online with most netizens urging the government to lower down the cost of power in the country.
