Morara Kebaso, leader of the Inject Party, declined an invitation to appear on *JK Live*, a popular talk show on Citizen TV hosted by Jeff Koinange and Ayub Abdikadir. The interview was scheduled to feature several guests, including Kasmuel Mcourse (ODM Youth League), Mohammed Abdullah (law student), and Nerina Wako (Executive Director of Siasa Place).

In a last-minute email, Kebaso sent his regrets, stating, “I am humble and grateful for the opportunity. However, I am sorry that I will not be able to make it. Kindly accept my apologies.”

His decision not to attend sparked a flurry of reactions on social media. Some Kenyans supported his move, claiming Jeff Koinange’s interviews often follow a script. One user, Chege, commented, “Very good. Their plan has backfired. Jeff Koinange is always on a script.” Another user, Realg, added, “Koinange’s plans have backfired.”

However, many expressed disappointment. One commenter named Daddy stated, “You are there to counter Kasmuel Mkora’s lies. Not showing up is letting us down. You either make it to attend or make it to attend.” Another, Sokoro, said, “Umetufail mzee. Tulikua tunataka upelekane na Kasmuel mundu khu mundu,” meaning they wanted Kebaso to directly face off with Kasmuel.

Criticism didn’t stop there. Wajir commented, “You can’t injekt when you are a coward,” and Kenya I’d wrote, “He has been a scam all along!” Others speculated that Kebaso may have been avoiding tough questions, with Rave asking, “You are dodging some bullets???”

Despite the backlash, Kebaso has not issued any further statements. It remains unclear whether he will reschedule or address the missed opportunity.
