On Monday kenyans were treated to a piece interesting news after it emerged that some rogue bandits outsmarted cops and rescued one of their own inside a hospital.
The incident elicited some wild reactions across the internet with netizens airing some varied views.
Well, Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has explained the events that lead to the rescuing of a wounded bandit at Iten Hospital under police custody.
Speaking on Wednesday when he appeared before the National Assembly, Kindiki said the suspect had bullet wounds and could not explain the cause of the injury.
“We believe the people who came to rescue him were criminals because they came through the hospital fence. They came to rescue one of their own who was hurt,” he said.
Kindiki has revealed that a shoot-out inside the facility could have led to more casualties thus cops watched as the rogue bandits vanished with their ally.
He has however promised that a manhunt is currently underway and the rogue criminals will be brought to book.
This interesting development comes amid some horrifying bandits attacks where some heavily armed thugs have shot innocent citizens and escaped with their animals.
The police alongside KDF Soldiers have been grazing the said areas with a huge number of bandits gunned down during some fierce shoot-outs with cops.
