Hon. Kimani Ichung’wah, the National Assembly Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Kikuyu constituency, has disclosed that the government is prepared to see Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua removed from office in spite of his attempts to thwart the impeachment and preserve his political career.
Ichung’wah stated in his most recent remarks, as reported by NTV Kenya today, that the Kenya Kwanza Government has put in place every tactic possible to guarantee that the Senate removes DP Gachagua from office this week. Every attempt by the second in command to avoid being removed from office will be thwarted by the government.
Ichung’wah said that Gachagua will fail because the government is ready to ensure that he is ousted from power, no matter how much he tries to deny and prevent his impeachment by the National Assembly in the hopes that the Senate and the courts will save him. He said that his removal will allow the president to select a different deputy who won’t be undermining his policies and goals.
