The Majority leader in the National Assembly Kimani Ichung’wah has criticized the media in what he termed as misreporting what President William Ruto and his government have done since assuming office in September last year.
Speaking in Nyandarua County on Saturday during thanksgiving service of Roads Principal Secretary Joseph Mbugua, an event that was graced by President William Ruto, Ichung’wah urged the media to do their due diligence before feeding Kenyans with lies yet still claiming that the president has not been accountable in delivering his promises.
“I know the president you are not distracted by naysayers, and we would like to tell our brothers in the media, because it is very ironical that the same people speaking about broken promises are the same people who misreport and misrepresent facts and especially over the Finance bill 2023 that will be taken to parliament.”
“We shall not be distracted by the media and the naysayers, we will remain focused because Your Excellency, you told us that we will expand the tax base so that we bring in more people to become taxpayers and we support you even in NHIF and the Housing Levy among others,” said the UDA lawmaker.
