Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale of Kakamega County has released a statement regarding President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s recent reconciliation.
The outspoken politician from Western Kenya disclosed in his speech on Tuesday that Ruto and Raila have reached an agreement on three matters, two of which had already taken place, and the third, which he omitted, is scheduled to occur shortly. “Congratulations on the successful launch of the AUC chair bid today, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga.
This settles limb 2 of the handshake. The broad-based government was limb one. “Limb 3 is ready,” said Khalwale.
The two political giants’ new working relationship will result in a political agreement come the next general elections, notwithstanding their silence on the matter. Analysts claim that with the departure of Kenya’s political enigma, President William Ruto is preparing to take over President Odinga’s sizable political base.
