Days after partaking in planting maize, Senator Boni Khalwale today visited his Malinya Farm only to meet good news at the Farm.

The Senator shared photos of his Maize Farm and one couldn’t help but notice the maize were growing healthily. The crops looked green and promising.

Khalwale expressed happiness and thanked God for the blessings and good weather which enabled the crops grow well. He also recognized his farm manager for the good job well done. He foresaw a bumper harvest on September.

“On the farm in Malinya. I thank God for the extreme good weather and Mr. Tikoni my farm manager, for the excellent crop husbandry. We are cruising a bumper harvest of maize in September.” Reads Senator Boni Khalwale’s message accompanied by photos of his vast maize farm.

The Kakamega Senator said that he expects a bumper harvest come September and expressed his happiness thanking his farm manager for the good job.

This highlights what a number of maize farmers are expecting across the country. Remember early this year government rolled out a plan to issue 12 million bags of subsidized fertilizers up from last years 6 million bags an indication that, all matters constant, maize production is likely to double compared to last year. This will come as a huge relief to Kenyans as far as Maize production is concerned.
