A few hours ago, a very shocking report emerged of how SK Macharia and former Land PS J.G Kibe allegedly sold 100 acres of land to Kenya-Re for 550 Million Kenya shillings using fake title deeds. This corruption case is said to have occurred 32 years ago and yet nothing has been done about it.

According to the report, this incident happened during the reign of the late President Mwai Kibaki. In 1976, White settler Jacob Hirschfield sold 900 acres of land to Jenga Karume, Arthur Mqgugu, Duncan Ndegwa, Peter Muigai Kenyatta, and Harun Muturi among others as a group. This land was acquired and sold illegally.

This group promised to sell 100 acres of land to the Kenyatta family however 5 acres was part of the Karura forest. According to the report, 95 acres of land were registered as LR216/8 and the five acres of Karura forest as LR No. 12261 but land officials combined the two to produce land number LR12236 which was against the law. The Kenyatta family accepted to take the 95 acres of land and gave the 5 acres of land to SK. Macharia.
According to the report, this land transfer was supposed to be revoked however nothing was done about it for it belongs to the Kenyatta family. From 1988 to 1991, Mama Ngina sold land LR No.216/8 to Scenaries Limited company owned by Njengi Muigai and Solomon Karanja, JG Kibe, and S.K Macharia. The group later placed a caveat on this land but Kibe and Macharia managed to remove it. They also managed to get the amalgamated title LR No. 12246.
This report shows that the Kenyatta family and all these people have been stealing land from Kenyans and selling it illegally. As we all know, Ruto’s government will soon target these people to serve justice to Kenyans and get this land back.
