Speaking in Malava, Kakamega county, the Tough talkig President warned that he will not allow the Azimio la Umoja team to disrupt busineses of Kenyans through their Demonstrations which he said would lead to the destruction of property
The head of state noted that he already agreed to have talks with Raila through the bipartisan approach but the team is now threatening to withdraw from the talks.
He insisted that parliament is the only way through which the issues Raila and his allies are raising can be solved. The tough talking President however warned that The Azimio La Umoja team will know that he is the commander in Chief of the armed forces.
The remarks however did not go well with a number of Kenyans who claimed that as the head of state he should not keep reminding people that he is the President. Below are some comments by Kenyans.

Bonareri Moke mat: You reminded us for 5 years that you were the DP. Now again you have begun to remind us that you are the president. Something must be very wrong. Why should I go home every evening reminding my children that am their mother. Unless I am not acting like one. Food for thought.
Government Critic: How many times will Ruto remind Kenyans that he is the President? Signs of weakness.
Tess: For 4 years, Ruto traversed the country, campaigning to be president while there was a sitting president. Had Uhuru decided to be as aggressive as this, things would be different today. What’s the big deal with allowing the Opposition to protest?.
