News making headlines this morning is the release of four youths allegedly abducted some time back. The news of their abduction has been making headlines for weeks now and activists have even threatened to go to the streets demanding for their immediately release by the Government.
According to the reports making headlines, the four youths have this morning reached out to their families and that includes the family of Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Bernard Kavuli and Rony Kiplangat who have acknowledged that their kins reached out to them.
The whereabouts of cartoonist Kibet Bull still remain unknown with others still calling for his release and whereabouts.
A section of Kenyans have however raised concerns after a photo of one of the abductees Peter Muteti was shared online. In the photo that was allegedly shared by him, many were concerned about his perfect stated of wellness that made it hard to imagine he had been abducted for weeks.
According to the reports, Peter Muteti was found in Nairobi CBD after weeks of going missing. “Peter Muteti was found in Nairobi CBD, as his family reports that he is disoriented and now recovering from home.” Read a report from citizen.
Those raising concerns have even argued that the abductees should tell Kenyans on where they were and what happened for facts to be verified. One X user even alleged that there is more than meets the eye in these abductions. A section of others have told off those alleging the abductions were fake insisting that one doesn’t need to appear disheveled to validate their abduction.
