Kenyans have reacted after learning the sad state of Stephen Bhingi, the reggae enthusiast and TikToker who recently met President William Ruto in State House alongside his fellow content creators. This is after he revealed his situation at home where his house was flooded and household items submerged in water. Despite photos of him and the Head of State going viral and an assumption that he got some help, it is sad to learn that Bhingi went back to his shackle in the ghetto.

In the video shared online, Bhingi reveals the whole house flooded with more rain water dropping in. He stated that it’s the real and sad situation they’re facing. This sparked sympathy and support from Kenyans.

This predicament saw the renowned comedian Eric Omondi stepping in to help him. The comedian took to his social media accounts and rallied his followers to contribute towards assisting Bhingi, while saying they need to relocate him to a better place and change his life forever.

He also stated that he thought he had seen Bhingi with President William Ruto recently insinuating that he thought Bhingi’s life was changed. This reignited the debate about politicians.

For some Kenyans, Bhingi’s plight served as a reminder of the expectations towards politicians, with speculation arising that Bhingi’s encounter with Ruto failed to yield tangible improvements in his circumstances.

Kenyans gave out varied sentiments that politicians may only need Kenyans for votes but will fail to turn up for them when they need their help. What’s your opinion regarding politicians and giving help to all Kenyans?
