Kenyans are buzzing online after a video surfaced showing Pastor Ezekiel Odero, a renowned preacher from Kilifi, publicly expelling a congregant from his church. The incident, captured during a sermon, has left many Kenyans on Facebook talking.
In the video, Pastor Odero confronts an individual in the congregation whom he had previously instructed not to attend his church due to unspecified disrespectful behavior. Without mincing words.
“Never come back here. Never come here with all that disrespect. Never. I’m serious. Someone to disrespect me, no! Look for that pastor who can tolerate.” Pastor Ezekiel.
Some viewers support the pastor’s stance, believing that leaders deserve respect and disruptive individuals should be excluded. Others criticize the action as harsh and unbecoming of a spiritual leader, suggesting private discussion would have been more appropriate.
“When you preach you give followers the freedom of choice. They also have the right to investigate the truth of your teachings. Even Jesus the most high was asked questions by His followers. He answered and gave them the freedom to choose their destiny,” Lusuli.
