Tony Kenyan, who was saved from the streets of Dubai five months ago, is now homeless again in Nairobi. His situation has raised concerns about what went wrong after he received help to come back home.
While in Dubai, Tony reached out to Kenyans for help, claiming that the agency that brought him there had abandoned him. After his story gained attention, an online fundraiser was set up to support him. Many kind-hearted Kenyans donated a total of KSh 51,600, which covered his flight back to Kenya and provided some additional money to help him start over.
When Tony arrived in Nairobi, he was hopeful about his future. He expressed a desire to work hard and create a better life for himself and his young family. However, just five months later, he finds himself back on the streets, sleeping outside and struggling to survive.
In a recent TikTok video shared by VooTV, Tony was shown sitting on the side of the road, covered with a piece of plastic and surrounded by boxes. His clothes looked worn and dirty, and he appeared to be in poor condition. The caption of the video expressed disappointment and sadness, saying, “Life is spiritual! After all the help we gave you, you’re back on the streets!”
Tony’s situation has shocked many people who followed his story. Those who previously helped him are now confused and saddened by how he ended up homeless again. Comments on social media reflect a mix of sympathy and disbelief, with many expressing sadness for what he is going through.
One person commented, “Oh my word, may the devil be defeated. This is so sad. I remember him coming to VooTV and being so excited to be back home.” Others shared similar thoughts, questioning how someone could return to such difficult circumstances after receiving so much support.

He had earlier mentioned plans to visit the office of the Interior Cabinet Secretary to address the issue of agencies that exploit Kenyans looking for better opportunities abroad.
