A young lady from Lugari, Kakamega County has restored her father’s smile with a thoughtful gesture.
Irene Odinga constructed a stunning house for her father who worked tirelessly to provide for his family.
Odinga, a housekeeper in Dubai, built the shelter for the dad as a token of appreciation for his sacrifices.
Odinga also disclosed some heartbreaking revelations about her hardworking father.
“He suffered a severe accident that left him with a broken leg, forcing him to rely on a walking stick for support. “The accident happened while he was working. He was in a cast for almost a year, and my mother had to nurse him throughout. Even now, he cannot work like he used to,” Odinga shared.
The 27-year-old was moved by her father’s dedication to providing for his family despite his situation.
His resilience and determination to work for his family inspired Odinga to build him Ksh 450,000 house.
“I saw how he struggled to pay our school fees through mjengo work. When he had the accident, it broke my heart, so I decided to surprise him with a house as a way of appreciating his sacrifices,” she said.
Odinga added that it took her one and a half years to complete the beautiful project which brought joy to her father.
The entire family looked delighted as they gathered to celebrate the amazing news as they spent quality time.
Odinga also had a strong encouraging message to the young people following her success; “Stay focused no matter the challenges you face, and always remember where you come from,” she advised.
