A lady known as Cynthia and her family, have been trying their best to ensure that she gets her passport. This is because she has been having trouble recovering her passport after it was detained by the Central Police Station OCPD.

As per the information shared by Wahome Thuku, Cynthia allegedly applied for a passport from the Department of Immigration at the beginning of the year managed to get it, and was planning to travel for work in Qatar. However, her plans did not go as she had expected as one of the agents who was to help her secure the job noted an error in her passport and called the police who arrested her on allegations of fabricating a passport.

Cynthia’s father, went to Nyayo house to find out why his daughter had been arrested yet he had personally collected the government-issued passport from the office himself. In response, officials at Nyayo House informed him that there might have been errors in the document and called the OCPD to inform him that Cynthia had not forged any document.

Although Cynthia was released after some members of the Immigration department helped her to raise Ksh 110,000 for her release, her efforts to get back her passport so that it can be corrected have been futile as the OCPD seems to be ignoring letters sent to him by the legal team from the Department of Immigration.

Although the reason why the OCPD is still holding onto the passport is yet to be determined, the family of Cynthia is hopeful that she will eventually get her passport.
